Product Description:
TY-24 is based on an extremely vigorous, non-diastatic, active dried yeast strain – formulated with a complete, chemically-defined nutrient complex. TY-24 is optimized for ultra-fast fermentation of any sugar-based feedstock including refined sugars, enzymatically converted starch, or molasses.
Although designed for use with highly refined sugar substrates such as glucose, dextrose, sucrose, or invert sugar syrup, TY-24 can be used with any fermentable sugar feedstock for ultra-fast fermentation of alcohol. In a refined sugar fermentation, TY-24 is designed to ferment up to ~14 % ABV in approx. 24 hrs, at 30-32 °C.
The nutrient complex in TY-24 contains all essential macro and micro-nutrients required for healthy fermentation, including nitrogen (urea source), phosphate, magnesium, vitamins and trace minerals.
TY-24 does not contain yeast extract or other non-chemically defined materials which can taint the quality of alcohol used for clean flavour applications.
